“I help people solve their problems by not going to court. Yes, I’m a lawyer, but I’m not practicing law. Why? Litigation takes months or even years. The law is complex. The expense and the outcomes of which are both unknown. At levelheaded, we simplify the process so you can resolve a dispute on your own terms and be your own decision maker. The best part, you can spend your time and money on more important things.“

I am a licensed Colorado attorney, and have been mediating for nearly ten years. While I enjoy understanding the law , I do not enjoy perpetuating people’s problems or legal disputes through lengthy, drawn-out, stressful litigation.

Mediating is where I thrive.

I was born and raised in Telluride, Colorado, and I’m a true outdoor enthusiast and lover of the Rocky Mountains. I studied Anthropology and Philosophy as an undergraduate in Boulder, Colorado, and Norwich, England. Prior to law school I worked in finance, political fundraising, marketing and advertising, and for a Boulder based non-profit. I attended law school because of my sincere desire to help others, especially people in turmoil trying to navigate often complex legal issues.

I have also worked as a dishwasher, waitress, horse wrangler, nanny,  office manager, mentor, mentee, intern, personal assistant and more. I appreciate that people come from different walks of life, and we each have our own experiences relative to the vastly different lives we have lived. I use my varied life experience and substantial academic background in order to understand that no issue is too small, but simultaneously, no issue is worth sitting on for too long. Life is simply too short to perpetuate a dispute that can be resolved.

I have a great understanding and ability to work with all sorts of people to connect and motivate towards a solution. Moreso, I thrive when presented with issues that need creative thinking and a quick, effective resolution. This is why levelheaded was formed.

One important note: while I do have a law degree and an active law license, when I engage in the mediation process I am not providing legal services or legal advice. At no time before, during or after the mediation am I practicing law, nor should it be construed as such.
